"What really elevates the experience with the Z5IIC is the AUTO mode, where it uses deep-learning AI technology to analyse the shooting scene and automatically adjusts to the optimal settings. Most of the time, you won’t even need to adjust the settings yourself. You can just focus on what you’re capturing in front of you!
Another feature I really like is the built-in film grain look. I’m a big fan of the film aesthetic and will usually add it in during post-processing, so the Z5IIC helps eliminate that extra step. You can even adjust the size of the Grain Effect, making it easy to achieve the film-look you want."

"Using the Z5IIC has brought a lot of ease of use. The AUTO function has provided even more convenience when shooting, and the addition of the dedicated Imaging Recipe button made it extremely convenient to create travel content straight out the camera!"

"My work moves between cinematography, branding, and design, so inspiration can come from almost anywhere. That’s why I like having a camera that can move with me. The Nikon Z5IIC feels compact and versatile enough to handle both photo and video in one camera, making it easy to capture an idea whenever it happens.
And honestly, I love the design too! As a woman working in cinematography, I love that it feels functional without looking overly technical or bulky. When a camera becomes part of your everyday carry, how it looks and feels matters too...and the Z5IIC fits naturally into my creative lifestyle."

Purchase & Availability
What does ‘full-frame’ mean?
It means that the sensor inside, the part that captures light, is bigger. Bigger sensor, more light in, better photos. Especially in low-light conditions.
Is the Z5IIC good for a complete beginner?
Yes. Just point and shoot, and you’re done. Choose from 15 Scene modes that handles all the hard parts like focus, exposure and lighting, so you get great shots without needing to know what any of that means. Just pick your subject, focus and press the shutter.
How is the Z5IIC different from taking photos or recording videos with my phone?
Just as easy, but with much better results and none of the complexity. Try the Z5IIC in places where your phone camera usually lets you down, like dim restaurants, golden hour, or night festivities. You’ll see the difference with its image sensor technology and intelligent autofocusing.
What are Imaging Recipes?
Built-in colour presets that give your photos distinctive looks without hitting the editing app. New recipes are added regularly and there are over 100 Imaging Recipes to choose from for every aesthetic – from retro summers and soft vintage, to dark academia and bright pop.
How do I send photos and videos to my phone?
Connect via Bluetooth or WiFi to the SnapBridge app or Nikon Imaging Cloud. Once paired, you can do your transfers easily, with no cables needed.
Is the Z5IIC heavy or awkward to carry around?
Not at all. At 620g, it's lighter than most full-frame cameras, and the minimalist design means it slides into your bag without getting in the way.
What comes in the box?
Camera body, battery, USB-C cable, camera strap. Everything you need to get started.
What sensor does the Z5IIC use?
24.5MP full-frame CMOS sensor.
How good is the autofocus?
Fast, accurate and genuinely intelligent. AI-powered subject detection automatically identifies and tracks a wide range of subjects: people, dogs, cats, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, trains, planes, and fish.
Does it have in-body image stabilisation?
Yes, 5-axis in-camera VR with 7.5 stops of stabilisation gives you sharp shots handheld in conditions where you'd normally reach for a tripod.
What is the ISO range of Z5IIC?
ISO 100–64,000.
Can it shoot 4K video?
Yes, the Z5IIC records 4K video and supports N-Log and N-RAW for colour grading flexibility in post-production.
How many frames per second can the Z5IIC shoot?
Up to 14 frames per second, or up to 30 frames with the electronic shutter, so you can lock in on the action and movement with ease.
Is it weather-sealed?
Yes, it’s dust and drip-resistant, built for rainy days and dusty locations.
Does the Z5IIC have single or dual card slots?
It has a single SD (UHS-II) slot.
Is there a viewfinder?
No, and that's intentional. The Z5IIC is designed for screen-based shooting, the same way you shoot on your phone. Instinctive and natural.
What lenses are compatible with Z5IIC?
It’s fully compatible with the NIKKOR Z lens lineup, from ultra-compact primes to versatile travel zooms.
Can I use my APS-C (DX-format) NIKKOR Z lenses with Z5IIC?
Yes, both APS-C and full-frame NIKKOR Z lenses work perfectly.
Are F mount lenses compatible with Z5IIC?
Yes. Simply pair them with the Mount Adapter FTZ II and your F mount lenses will work just fine.
